“DrumathonLIVE 2022 – Set to raise over £6m for mental health charities”

Drummer’s Review

Taking place between 14th and 21st May 2022, DrumathonLIVE will feature fifty top flight drummers from high profile bands such as, Coldplay, Kaiser Chiefs, Duran Duran, Imagination, Culture Club, Stormzy, Girls Aloud, Tom Jones, Madonna, Kasabian and many more.

Scheduled to drum for 2 to 24 hours in a continuous stream, day and night for the entire week, our featured professional drummers will be joined by a thousand amateur and semi-pro drummers picking up their sticks to create their own events, broadcasting across the UK on social media.

This year, DrumathonLIVE partners with musical equipment manufacturer Roland, Jobecky, JHS, Vici Drums, Adoro Drums, Zildjian Cymbals and Dream Cymbals to extend its fund raising initiative to UK schools and youth organisations, inviting them to create their own DrumathonLIVE events during the same week, playing alongside our pros and amateurs across the entire country in the biggest drumming event ever.

Schools are invited to play drums and percussion instruments or make their own drums and shakers to participate in a 30 minute Drumathon, driven along by the sponsorship and support from family and friends.

We are also inviting music and rock schools, drum corps, scouting groups or any other youth organisation that can drum up a storm to get on board at www.drumathon.live to register and download an activity pack.

About DrumathonLIVE

DrumathonLIVE is the creation of husband and wife musicians Errol Kennedy and Bev Sage, who started the organisation during the first COVID 19 lockdown in 2020 when Errol played non stop for 24 hours for the NHS. The first full event followed and involved twenty drummers, raising over £50k for the NHS. In 2021 fifty drummers played over seven days and have so far raised over £60k – and counting. DrumathonLIVE also inspired and participated in the Children in Need Drumathon which to date has raised £3.6m.

Errol and Bev Kennedy are available for interview. Errol is the original drummer with the 80’s pop sensations Imagination. Bev is an artist and founder member of the Techno Twins.
