Drummer’s Review

ToneAlly are delighted to be organising Drum-Off UK for 2020.  In these uncertain and challenging times, dedicated drummers have this great opportunity to show off their skills, and perhaps launch, or re-launch their careers.  A chance for you to share your drum-soloing skills amongst the global drumming community!

We have a FANTASTIC panel of judges, which offers a great opportunity to be judged and introduced to our Pros.

To enter the competition there are 2 simple steps:

  1. Record your 4minute drum solo
  2. Sign up here drumoffglobal.org (registration is $25)

Closing date 9th November 2020

Our esteemed Drum-Off UK 2020 judges are:

Gary Wallis (Pink Floyd/Mike & The Mechanics/Schiller)

Ian Matthews (Kasabian/BDCo)

Derrick McKenzie (Jamiroquai/Groovesonix)

Ian Palmer (Freelance/Clinician)

Dean Duke (Paul Carrack)

Roger Hempsall (Author/Clinician)

“We feel the time is right for ToneAlly to take the reigns of Drum-Off UK and to offer this opportunity to all of those dedicated drummers who are using their time in the pursuit of excellence.  Be it groove or gospel chops!  The drumming community is like no other community you’ll ever experience.  They are so supportive of each other. Everyone seems to want to better themselves and share something good, when they have it!”

Tony McNally (Founder of ToneAlly)

As well as holding the title ‘Drum-Off UK Drum Soloist Champion 2020’ the 4 UK winners will each receive a ‘ToneAlly Design 5 Delux’ (along with some other great goodies from our sponsors) and will go on to represent the UK in the Drum-Off Global 2020 competition.  The winners of the Drum Off Global will be flown to Canada to perform and record their drum solos at Drumeo Official early next year!

ToneAlly gratefully acknowledge the support of our media partner Drummers Review, and sponsors Code Drum Heads, British Drum Company, Drum Shop, Istanbul Mehmet
