The sound is exceptionally rich producing deep and dark overtones. The attack however is quite dry with acute cutting power and a deeper thump provided by the depth. All Starphonic snare drums are fitted with Tamas Grooved Hoop which provides a balance between triple-flanged and die-cast hoop design.
