The high-end DAC chip is borrowed from the RME ADI-2 DAC providing reduced THD and an improved signal-to-noise ratio of 3dB when converting digital to analog. The RME ADI-2 Pro FS is a high-end studio-quality AD/DA converter multi-format converter (AES SPDIF ADAT) with monitoring features dual headphone amplifier DSD recorder playback converter as well as an AD/DA frontend for audio measurements with up to 768kHz sample rate making it one of the most flexible and fully featured converters available.
