The 2018 Ibanez SR5005 Prestige Bass features a boutique quality design professional appointments and a stunning oil finish to show off the natural grain of the tonewoods. Its body is crafted from a sandwich of wenge outer with a mahogany inner creating an incredibly resonant instrument with a stunning high-end sparkle. The neck is constructed from a combination of wenge and bubinga to provide an incredibly stable performance while its smooth atlas profile and wenge fingerboard deliver a comfortable performance. The SR Prestige is also equipped with a set of hand built Bartolini custom pickups which are exclusive to Ibanez and voiced differently for a bright sounding bridge and a deep warm neck. The addition of Ibanezs 3-band EQ and mid frequency switch offer endless tone-shaping capabilities while the Mono-Rail bridge and Gotoh tuners assist in string resonance transfer and tuning stability.
