This provides a quick way to connect a microphone to Hi-Z instrument jacks. This provides a higher fidelity signal as opposed to using a cable without a transformer when using impedance mismatched gear. This also helps minimise high frequency loss resulting in more clarity from the signal. Impedance mismatch can often result in unwanted noise and hum this is significantly reduced by using the impedance transformer. The 6 inch cable between connections helps allows connections to be made quickly.
