Drummer’s Review

The UK Drum Show are very pleased to announce Jamie Murray will be appearing in the Mike Dolbear Room Sunday 1st October in association with Gretsch drums.
Jamie Murray is one of the top drummers on the scene today. He has recently finished his third album alongside the great American Saxophonist David Binney and has played with the likes of Gary Husband, Tim Lefebvre, Laurence Cottle, Zhenya Strigalev and most recently has released a track with Donny McCaslin (David Bowie Blackstar) called “Turned” A forward thinking and conceptual player with a solid groove style yet he has an open-minded approach to free experimentation.
Jamie’s performances are always fresh and exhilarating! Jamie has a strong sense of writing, his compositions are personal and original with an Electronic/Jazz /Fusion style attached to them.
Jamie has played with most of his contemporaries and peers in the London Jazz scene as well as crossing into the electronic pop world. Most recently, he has recorded with Binker Golding for Blue Note Re:Imagined as well as many other musicians in today’s Jazz scene.
